Blooms Herb-a-Lax is a gentle, yet effective combination of senna leaf, buckthorn bark, psyllium, dill seed and liquorice root powder to form a natural herbal laxative for the treatment of occasional constipation or irregularity.

Therapeutic Benefits:

Senna - a purgative herb used in the treatment of constipation. It aids in enhancing overall digestion by encouraging secretion of digestive juices.
Buckthorn Bark - considered a gentle laxative, generally having a calming influence on the gastrointestinal tract. It also aids in the elimination of toxins from the body.
Psyllium seed - considered a bulking laxative. Lubricates the gut wall where it is seen to soften the stools & cleanse the intestinal tract.
Dill seed - useful in treating colic, flatulence & indigestion.
Liquorice powder root - has abiltiy to strengthen digestion & protects the gasto-intestinal wall from damage. A powerful healing & anti-inflammatory herb.

Directions for Use:

Adults: 3/4 -1 level teaspoon with water or fruit juice before retiring.
Children: Start with no more than 1/2 level teaspoon, gradually increasing to adult dosage if necessary.

Ingredients:

Each level 5ml teaspoonful of Herb-a-Lax contains approximately:
Senna leaf (Cassia angustafolia) 1.35g
Buckthorn bark (Rhamnus frangula) 108mg
Psyllium husk (Plantago psyllium) 31mg
Dill seed (Anethum graveolens) 31mg
Liquorice root powder (Glycyrrhiza glabra) 31mg

Cautions & Interactions:

Not to be used when pregnant or breastfeeding. In general constipation during pregnancy should not be self-medicated & really needs to be consulted with a healthcare professional.
Drink plenty of water.
Prolonged use may cause serious bowel problems.
Do not use when abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting are present or if you develop diarrhoea.
Use in children under 12 years is not recommended.
